Kelin – Account & Data Deletion Request

Option 1: In-App Instant Deletion

The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the Kelin.lk mobile app:

Step-by-Step Guide:

Open the Kelin.lk app and log in to your account
Navigate to your Profile page
Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section
Click the "Delete Account" button
Type "DELETE" to confirm
Enter your password for verification
Your account and data will be permanently deleted

Option 2: Web/Email Deletion Request

If you cannot access the app or have uninstalled it, you can send a formal deletion request via email. This method is required by Google Play Console policies.

Email Deletion Request:

Send an email to our privacy team with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include your registered email address and full name for verification.

Processing Time: Email requests are typically processed within 48-72 hours after identity verification.

Data Purged Upon Deletion

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

Profile Information

Name, email, phone, address, bio, and personal details

Saved Addresses

All address book entries and location data

Authentication Tokens

Request Logs

Service request history and associated notes

Data Retention Policy

While we delete most personal data immediately upon account deletion, certain records are retained for legal and regulatory compliance:

Financial Transaction Records

Financial transaction records, including invoices, payments, and vouchers, are retained for up to 90 days from the date of account deletion to comply with statutory tax and regulatory requirements under Sri Lankan law. After this period, all financial records are permanently deleted.

This retention period is mandated by the Inland Revenue Act and other financial regulations of Sri Lanka.

Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, you cannot recover your data, requests, or account history. Please ensure you have backed up any important information before proceeding.
